Silicon Heights - Discount Academic Software and Hardware For Academics.
For 16 years, low-priced academic software, hardware and peripherals for computers have been our specialty. We sell low-priced academic products to students, faculty, staff, schools and teachers!
Upgrading to Windows XP PRO:
If you have not yet upgraded your operating system, you might consider taking the plunge and purchasing the academic upgrade to XP Pro ($100.00) You’ll find great support from Microsoft for this product as well as ease of use for photographs, music, files, and more.
Add Norton’s AntiVirus 2004 ($39.00) to the package and you’ll fee safe and secure from those nasty computer viruses. [mjh: ask about Norton's Internet Security package insead -- it has AntiVirus plus Firewall, etc.]
I haven't bought anything from Silicon Heights, but students have recommended it. As I understand it, they allow academic discounts to UNM Continuing Education students during the period they are taking a class (pink slip is proof).People with UNM IDs should also consider the UNM bookstore and CIRT (for department use). mjh
